The LESO building - Heat loss of protruding elements

Thermally weak envelope elements of the LESO building were examined. Thermographs of the element were taken, which show strong thermal bridges. Heat loss and air leakage were measured using the guarded zone technique. The element was found poorly insulated and leaky. Airflow rate measurements using tracer gas confirmed the untightness of this element.
