INFORMS Annual Meeting 2010

Adopting a systemic view of an enterprise and its environment, we propose a model-based approach for designing viable enterprises. In our approach, we apply Systemic Enterprise Architecture Method (SEAM) to visualize and graphically represent various aspects of an enterprise throughout the design steps. SEAM is based on General Systems Theory principles and embodies insights from Cybernetics as well as conceptualizations from Competence-based Management Theory.
