Late reheating, hadronic jets and baryogenesis
Electroweak baryogenesis was demonstrated in inflation models with low reheating temperatures. The electroweak baryogenesis, occuring in expanding and almost equilibrium plasma, was found to be highly constrained, as it required the freezing of the sphaleron processes after the first order phase transition. Late reheating was shown to occur in a highly nonuniform way, with narrow areas along the jets produced by ordinary particles originated from inflaton decays. The increase of the inflaton mass made the temperature of the overheated regions higher, which triggered the mechanism at some critical inflaton mass.
