How to bridge science and practice on the example of the Circular Economy (CE)? The 2023 BSL CE Conference analyzes the recently published first editions of country circularity reports, and tries to answer five key questions: 1. How do key country metrics compare per capita; what explains large differences in circularity? 2. What insights can low-mid-high circularity countries learn from each other? 3. Are people happier in high or low circularity countries? 4. What are the ethical implications of circularity transitions? 5. Why is CE not profitable (enough) in today’s economy?
