Journal of the Electrochemical Society

The loss of current efficiency in the indirect 2-stage electrochem. process using the Mn2+/Mn3+ system is due to the oxidn. of orgs. present in the recycled electrolyte. There is no evidence of electrode poisoning under the exptl. conditions studied (88% H2SO4; Pt anode, 85 Deg). [on SciFinder (R)]
