There is an important trend toward personal mobile communications. People use more and more handheld devices to keep in touch with friends or business partners. One possible way to connect these devices is provided by wireless radio technologies. The emerging Bluetooth technology is such a short-range wireless technology. An important feature of Bluetooth is that it enables ad hoc networking. In this paper we present some methods which enable Bluetooth devices to form an ad hoc network.
