CAiSE Workshops (2)

This paper serves as the introductory note to the Fifth Workshop on Business Process Modeling, Development, and Support (BPMDS’04). The workshop focuses on the exploration of issues related to the fit between business processes and Business Process Support (BPS) systems. BPS systems are IT based systems that are dedicated for the execution of business processes. Some degree of fit is necessary between the supported business processes and the supporting system, the BPS. In this paper we aim at providing a brief but holistic discussion of some of the issues related to the creation and maintenance of this fit.
