Rapid pacing of atrial fibrillation (AF) can induce local capture of the atrial tissue and preliminary studies showed that the septum area was the only location allowing simultaneous capture of both atria from a single site. The present model-based study investigated the impact of Bachmann’s Bundle (BB), considered to play a fundamental role in interatrial conduction, on the ability to capture AF during rapid pacing from the septum.
