Preparation and characterization of titanium/lead(IV) oxide-type electrodes
1982
The coating of PbO2 [1309-60-0] on Ti was carried out after activation of the Ti in boiling HCl 20% and after predeposition with an intermediate protective Au layer. The stability measurements of this electrode showed that the rate of decompn. of PbO2 in H2SO4 >8M increases. The polarization curves showed that a Au layer between the Ti and the PbO2 diminishes the ohmic resistance of the electrode. [on SciFinder (R)]
