Design of piezolectric actuators drive

Vaucher, N.
2013

Piezoelectric actuators are widely used in industry, especially for their high-speed response and large force generation. In practice, a Piezoelectric Actuator Drive (PAD) is a crucial point to ensure the performance of the actuator. Our current application requires multiple piezoelectric actuators working at frequencies from 100 Hz to 30 kHz with an input voltage up to 200V. The main work will be about the modelling of the piezoelectric actuator and the study of driving a capacitive load. Electrical simulation and experiments will help the design of the PAD.
