Nick, Sascha
September 15, 2025
SIA Vaud - F'AR débats "Intelligence artificielle et durabilité dans le milieu bâti"

The multiple interconnected challenges of the Swiss built environment need to be approached from a systems perspective. AI can help significantly , but only if properly embedded in a holistic, participatory and deliberative democratic governance of the built environment, with the overall goal of quality housing for all, and not as source of profits. Otherwise, AI is likely to make the existing dysfunctional system more efficient, and ultimately more dysfunctional.
