Bulletin de l'Association Suisse des Electriciens (Organe Commun de l'Association Suisse des Electriciens (ASE) et de l'Union des Centrales Suisses d'Electricite (UCS))

Having regard to the increasing demand for electric energy in Western Europe, the paper discusses growing problems on the supply side in connection with increasing costs and protection of the environment, whilst new lines have to be built in a complex system of existing networks, necessitating a broad view of new projects. The use of computers should assist in the solution of listed off-line and on-line problems for long term planning and day-to-day control
