This paper presents experimental validations of field-to-transmission line coupling models using EMP simulators. Several configurations have been considered such as single-wire lines, multiconductor lines, and ramified lines above a conducting ground plane. All these structures were terminated in different ways (open circuit, short circuit, matched). Comparisons between calculations using transmission line theory and experimental measurements are presented and discussed. In general, agreement between numerical calculations and measurements is found to be reasonably good and validate the coupling models widely used today by the EMC community
