15th Research Data Lunch Talk

The 15th event of the Research Data Lunch Talks entitled “Open Data and Open Source: Ensuring Longevity Beyond the Project”, took place on February 13th, 2025. Open to everyone interested, to connect with experts from the EPFL community, and discover how researchers across fields tackle the management of big datasets.

Started with the EPFL RDM Team presenting an overview of Research Data Management initiatives at EPFL and beyond, followed by short talks and a panel for Q&A, from:

“Privacy-preserving federated learning: from academic papers to Tune Insight SA” by Prof. Jean-Pierre Hubaux, Academic Director of the EPFL Center for Digital Trust “Open Science & educational platforms/resources” by Dr. Denis Gillet, Head of the EPFL Interaction Systems Group “Processing scientific data in the web browser” by Dr. Luc Patiny, Lecturer and Scientist for EPFL ISIC Data Management Platform "Challenges and opportunities for promoting open science in mechanics” by Prof. Jean-François Molinari, Full Professor Computational Solid Mechanics Laboratory
