The majority of Europe’s urbanity is constituted of diffuse urban areas. Most of the settlements in those areas will continue to exist by 2050. However, those areas are often overlooked in the current reflection on sustainability. Can new digital technology enable a sustainable mobility in the diffused urban areas?
